Buffalo, Wyoming is one of my stops to hang out for a few days on the trek from Seattle to Boulder. The weather has been beautiful here so I snapped these great pictures. The photos are from a combination of driving through the mountains and walking around Buffalo.
Driving through Wyoming.
Mountains in Wyoming. I'm about to go over them.
Oblig "from the car" picture.
Small town in Wyoming I drove through.
Another shot of the town.
Scenery on the way to the mountains.
Abandoned buildings that must have been used somehow during the mining process back in the day.
View from Big Horn National Park almost 10,000 feet up. This picture sadly does not do it justice. You absolutely have to see it in person. This actually beat the scenery on the Pacific Coast Highway for me.
Another view from almost 10,000 feet up.
Clear blue sky.
Snow near the top. There are higher peaks to this mountain range but this was the one route 14 took me over.
Sign by the road for Big Horn Basin.
About 9,000 feet up on the other side of the mountain.
The Occidental Hotel, where I stayed for a few nights in Buffalo, Wyoming.
Nice stuffed head. This hotel is basically a museum for ecclectic historic items.
Creek outside the hotel in Buffalo, WY.
Statues in downtown Buffalo, WY.
Numerous empty old buildings line downtown.
Buffalo, Wyoming has a blacksmith. Buffalo: 1, Washington, D.C.: 0.
So this is Crazy Woman Square...

Another view of the statue.
The Virginian Restaraunt sign. Everyone loves Virginia, even in Wyoming.
